Tapping Sheet Metal Screws

Tapping Screws are also referred to as sheet metal screws.  The 'Type A' is a course thread and 'Type AB' is a fine thread, both are threaded to the very tip of the screw.  These are called tapping screws because they can tap its own hole as it is driven into the material. Usually used in relatively soft materials or sheet materials.
